a unique handcycle providing unparalleled opportunities to people with disabilities for mountain biking and hiking. Explorer is designed for extreme off-road conditions where it features an unrivalled performance. It will let you see with your own eyes places that until now have been inaccessible. Mountains, hiking trails, beaches and Bike Parks are no longer out of reach with Explorer.
This unique handcycle has helped its users reach the highest peaks, one of our handbikes was used in a successful expedition to Killimanjaro – the highest peak in Africa. Explorer is the most advanced handcycle of its kind, with features including full independent suspension, hydraulic disc brakes on all three wheels, Schlumpf Mountain-Drive transmission and a wide selection of available drivetrain ratios ranging from 16 to 28 gears. The shift system can be used to select gear ratios while stationary. One of the Explorer’s biggest selling points is its dual steering – a traditional handlebar for precise steering on fast descents, and an alternative chest steering system used to keep the handcycle in a straight line and make small turns while hands are busy powering the bike. Explorer is also available with electric assist.
